Financial planning is life planning, and because we face different challenges in our lives, women need to take an active interest in managing their wealth. Creating a budget, managing debt, understanding your defined benefit pension, setting up investment accounts, and short-term savings will be explored as mechanisms for self-care. This session provides a plan of action, whether you are taking that first step into financial independence or finetuning your financial wellness goals.

Myra Rybotycki is an executive staff officer in the Teacher Employment Services program area. She leads pension and financial welfare education programs for the Association. Myra is committed to closing the financial literacy gap for women and supporting economic equality.
